'Clash Royale' Update: Tournament Revamp, Legendary Card Changes, Unit Nerfs & Buffs Confirmed For September Patch [VIDEO]
Clash Royale, the spiritual successor to Supercell's massive hit Clash of Clans, has seen some drops in its user base over the last few months. While the title in itself is undoubtedly fun, numerous players have pointed out the fact that the mobile game is far too similar to its predecessor.
Apart from this, many also lamented that the game, as it is, is extremely unbalanced, with the title heavily favoring players who are already at the higher level, as well as those who purchase in-game items. For those playing the game for fun, Clash Royale has become a very tedious affair.
Clash Royale September Update
Considering that the game is created by Supercell, it was not much of a surprise when the developer reached out to the game's players and asked for their input. After aggregating the most wanted features and changes to the game, the developer seems to be gearing up for the massive update which would incorporate most of what players have been asking for.
Massive Tournament Changes
Many fans of the game have complained to the developer, stating that the Tournaments in the game's current iteration are extremely difficult to find, even more difficult to enter, and almost impossible to win. Some players with thousands of wins in normal gameplay have reported being dominated really badly in Tournaments. Thus, there is a huge chance that Supercell would balance out the Tournaments in the game.
Legendary Cards
Millions of Clash Royale players have complained that Legendary cards are almost ridiculously difficult to acquire. While card stats do get tweaked from time to time by the developer over previous Clash Royale patches, the chances of players getting Legendary cards still remain very slim. If Supercell does listen to fans, Legendary cards might be a lot easier to acquire after the September update.
Unit Nerfs and Buffs
Just like its cousin, Clash of Clans, Supercell is also widely rumored to initiate a number of balancing changes to the game, mainly in the form of nerfs and buffs on a number of the game's units. Among the troops that are allegedly getting a nerf is the Miki Pekka, which is listed by numerous players are being overpowered in its current iteration.
Clash Royale September Update Release Date
While the actual release date for the upcoming Clash Royale update has not been released by Supercell as of date, many fans are speculating that the developer might roll out the new features in the middle of September.
