'Clash Of Clans' September Update: Exciting New Changes Expected, Free Gems For Players [VIDEO]
Supercell is set to release an update for Clash of Clans before September ends. The latest update promises exciting new changes to the game like a rewards system and free gems.
September would be a very significant month for Clash of Clans players, as the developer attempts to recapture the once-dominant mobile title's glory. Just like the mobile gaming juggernaut that is Pokemon GO, rumors are high that the upcoming September update would feature some new rewards systems for the title's most faithful gamers.
Clan Challenge Revealed
Supercell itself has admitted that it is working on the development of a new game mode. According to a statement on the official Clash of Clans forums, Supercell is currently hard at work in creating a Clan Challenge mode for the game.
"With Clan Challenges, Clans will be able issue a friendly War request to any other Clan daring to accept the challenge! Choose war participants, set the duration of preparation/battle days and send your Clan Challenge request! As soon as the opposing Clan accepts the request, preparation day will begin," Supercell stated.
What makes Clan Challenge pretty unique is the fact that players of the mobile title would be able to organize meet-ups in the real world in order to participate or answer to challenges. This, in turn would foster both online and offline Clash of Clans initiatives.
New Reward System
Another new aspect of the game that the developer has teased would be a new reward system. Whether the new system would be linked to the upcoming Clan Challenges feature is still unknown as of writing, but speculations are high that the game would start rewarding players directly for participating in events and completing some in-game challenges.
With this in mind, rumors have emerged that Supercell would start implementing a reward system that enables players to gain Gems for free. However, numerous players are a bit skeptical about the prospect of free Gems being given away by the developer. After all, Gems are the bread and butter of Supercell's income from Clash of Clans. Thus, enabling a system that gives them away for free might end up compromising the game's income stream.
Nevertheless, the prospect of new game modes and a new rewards system has been received very warmly by fans. Clash of Clans' September 2016 patch is set to be rolled out soon, but Supercell has so far been very tight-lipped about the huge update's release date.
