Google Pixel features have been leaked to the public prior to its official launch. The important question now is whether the latest android phone lives up to the hype or not.
On Oct. 4, Google has officially launched its own smartphone. However, prior to the unveiling, leaks about Google Pixel specs have already been circulating the internet.
Leaked or not leaked, Wired asserted that this new model may just be the ultimate Android phone. Even before it became official, it had already been speculated that Google is aiming for an Android phone version of the iPhone by Apple.
According to the official report, the 5-inch and the 5.5 inch variants of the Pixel are gunning to be the best and most powerful Android phone in the history. The specs and design are all created with just one thing in mind, to be the best smartphone in the market.
Tech Crunch revealed that the official aesthetics of the Android phone model are similar to what has been recently leaked to the public. The similarity of the physical designs between Pixel and iPhone cannot be denied. However, the former does not have the conspicuous iPhone button that is situated below the display.
The display screens of both the variants of the Google phone are encased in Gorilla Glass 4. Meanwhile the back of the Pixel is made up from a combination of metal and glass. It is in the said area that a fingerprint reader is located. Add to this an antenna band can be found at the bottom.
Still on the subject of specs, the camera is considered as one of the best features of the phone. Google made a bold statement during the launch that the camera is not just the best the company has produced but the best ever produced. The rear has a 12.3-megapixel cam while 8-megapixel is found on the front.
A quad-core Snapdragon 821 is used as the Google Pixel's processor paired with 4GB RAM. It is powered by a 2770mAh battery which life can last for about 14 hours.
The Google Pixel base level will be retailed for $649 while the XL is for sale starting at $769.
