Will Goldberg Make a Comeback at the WWE Ring? Why Is Vince McMahon Unhappy About the Idea?
The return of Goldberg at the WWE Ring has been resounding following his addition to the WWE 2K17 wrestler downloadable. Vince McMahon, however, is not too happy about the rumors.
Prior to the release of the WWE 2K17 game this month, rumors about Goldberg grazing the WWE Ring with his presence are making rounds all over the internet. This was prompted by the addition of the wrestler's name among the downloadable avatars in the upcoming game.
Forbes reported that clues about Bill Goldberg will come back at WrestleMania battling against Brock Lesnar keep coming. Adding fuel to the fire are remarks made by the 49-year-old wrestler every time he attends promotional events for the WWE 2K. According to Goldberg, he is willing to be matched up against Lesnar.
These remarks by Goldberg may just be a cheeky comment every time he is at the events. The wrestler set the record straight when he was interviewed by Jonathan Coachman. Goldberg finally put to rest the speculations of WWE fans across the globe.
The former WWE warrior said it is unlikely that he'll go back to his wrestling days. "I'm an old man, here, I'm 49 years old. A guy like Ric Flair at 49 can go out and do his character, a guy at 49 to go out and do Goldberg again? I don't know what the odds are," Goldberg revealed.
Even if the rumors turned out to be true, there is one man from WWE who will not welcome Goldberg back to the ring. Vince McMahon, one of Goldberg's fiercest opponents, is allegedly indifferent about the rumors, said INQUISITR.
Back in 2003, the tattooed wrestler and McMahon did not exactly bond too well. Goldberg was not a fan of the politics behind WWE and he was not shy to talk about it. The WWE CEO is well aware of the statements made by Goldberg and is not keen on meeting the former wrestler again.
