Amazon offers refunds for 'dead' Galaxy Note 7's accessories
After struggling with loads of reports and complaints filed against the device for its battery issue, Samsung Galaxy Note 7's short span of life finally, comes to its end. Samsung Electronics has recently issued an announcement for the permanent discontinuation of this device's production.And with this 'dead' end of the Galaxy Note 7, its accessories have become no longer useful.
However, Amazon seems to be more careful about this fact. The online shopping giant has started to offer the customers clear refunds against their purchase of any such accessories which they might have bought currently or earlier for their Galaxy Note 7. According to a report by The Verge, the offer is also accessible for those items which have already crossed Amazon's standard 30-day return policy.
It clearly means that those who have bought a case, a wireless charging dock, a Bluetooth headset or some other accessories related to Note 7 on Amazon.com, may now opt for a return value or refund for the same. However, according to Android Headlines, many users and buyers of these accessories, have recently reported that they have successfully received their refunds from the online retailer for those products, even after the expiry of the website's standard 30-day return policy.
For requesting a refund you need to follow a few simple steps, at first go to the 'Contact Us' page of Amazon. Then you need to select the product for which you want to opt for the refund from your order list.If the product has not passed 30 days of time after your order then it's good, otherwise, you need to choose any other existing product from your order list which you have bought within last 30 days. After this, you need to start chatting with Amazon's designated executive through the website dedicated chat window. If all goes well and your product is regarded as worth of refund by them, then the process will be done within a very short period of time and you can also expect a payback in a few days.
Although this attempt initiated by Amazon is pretty much appreciated and welcomed by people worldwide already. But this refund may cause a huge loss for other companies as well alongside Samsung, who manufactures this kind of cases, wireless charging port or any other accessories designed to be added with Note 7. There are still no updates about any refund failures in this segment, but it is still not clear whether this refund offer is applicable for all accessories related to this disastrous device, or on some chosen ones only.
