This is the first full-fledged update for Apple latest operating system iOS 10 which was unveiled just about a month back on September 13th, 2016. The final update seems to be revealed after a lineup release of about 5 beta versions and developers' editions which were uncovered one by one since September 21st, 2016.
According to a report by MacRumors, the superlative update is available as free over-to-air for the users of the devices which enable iOS 10. The users can easily find out the update online. This is first major update after iOS 10.0.3 which was mainly designed for fixing few minor bugs. The superlative update iOS 10.1 offers a range of bug fixes and improvements to issues which were seen on this operating system after its official release, including fixes for Apple watch, camera, messaging, maps, navigations and many more.
Among the new additions, the most attractive one is the innovative 'Portrait Mode' which elevates Apple's camera specifications to a new level. According to Apple's very own Newsroom, the portrait mode is majorly designed keeping in mind the camera features of Apple iPhone 7 plus. As per the indications provided there, the mode can be easily accessed with the iPhone's camera app and it will let users capture perfect snaps with an ethnic tone.
According to some potential sources, this new feature of the camera app actually uses the wide-angle and telephoto lenses in the iPhone 7 Plus to create a shallow depth of field enabled portrait photos with blurred backgrounds. This spectacular depth-of-field effect, also known as "bokeh", was previously only associated with DSLR cameras. So, the inclusion of this attractive feature in Apple's recent masterpiece automatically turns the camera into an effective tool for professional photography on the go.
