"Thor: Ragnarok" is not just starring the Hulk. The production decided to add another "Planet Hulk" character in the film, seeing that there might be no chance for a solo movie for the green-skinned superhero.

"Thor: Ragnarok" has just wrapped up filming. However, before that happened, Taika Waititi, the director of the much awaited third installment of the "Thor" movies took the fans of the Marvel superhero into a live tour of the set. Here, the identity of an important "Planet Hulk" character was revealed.

Movie Web reported that Waititi used Facebook Live to give the fans a glimpse of what was going on the set of the film, which he pronounced as a "sci-fi space wasteland." In the said live feed, the filmmaker introduced Steve, one of the actors casted for the movie. After which, Waititi revealed that the said actor will be playing the role of Miek.

For non-comic book readers, Miek is taken straight from the "Planet Hulk" story. He is the last Insectoid from the planet Sakaar. At first, Miek was portrayed as an ally of the Hulk at the Gladiator arenas. However, the Insectoid is not exactly as good as readers have hoped him to be.

Miek's powers, for those who are not aware, include telepathy which he uses to communicate with others of his kind, Movie Pilot mentioned. More importantly, he has a hard exoskeleton, which makes it harder for opponents to inflict pain on him.

Although the comic book version of Miek physically looks like a giant insect, people who have seen the Facebook Live feed could see that the "Thor:Ragnarok" version looks like a human. Whether he transforms into a more creature-like persona or not, is something Marvel fans should wait for.

However, "Planet Hulk" fans should not keep their hopes too high regarding the impact of Miek's character to the film. It is unlikely that he will be of huge significance given the fact that it was recently revealed that the Hulk will not play that big of a role in "Thor: Ragnarok."
