‘Power Rangers’ News Update: Viral site launched; posts images from Angel Grove High
"Power Rangers," one of the most anticipated films in 2017, has just landed a viral site. Its first posts are images of the beloved rangers at their school, Angel Grove High.
The new "Power Rangers" viral site, The Roar, is aptly themed and is made out to look like the Angel Grove High school website. Launched by Lions Gate Entertainment, the online site has posted pictures of the movie's characters as their alter egos studying at the school.
The Roar is divided into six menus: News, Features, Arts and Entertainment, Sports, Student Life, and Staff. All the menus already have posts except for the third and the fifth ones. It is interesting to note that the website is created in a way that a school site usually works and snippets from the cast and video clips from the movie are incorporated in it.
All the members of the "Power Rangers," as normal high school students, already have posts about them on the site. So, fans are already given a small treat of what they can expect from the updates that will be posted on The Roar.
Billy Cranston (RJ Cyler) and Trini (Becky G.) are already featured in Student Spotlight. Zack Taylor (Ludi Lin) and Kimberly Hart (Naomi Scott) have features in the Student Life. Meanwhile, Jason Scott (Dacre Montgomery) is found in the Sports section of the site where he is featured as one of the American football players.
As the movie gets closer and closer to its opening date, fans can expect for more updates in the new website. Not much has been said about Zack just yet, so people should anticipate an exclusive post about him soon.
"Power Rangers" will be shown in US cinemas on March 24, 2017. The movie also stars Bryan Cranston of "Breaking Bad" as Zordon, the mentor of the rangers, and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, a villain.
