"The Bachelor" season 21 is currently being filmed with Nick Viall as this year's eligible single man. As the clock winds down to the end of filming, avid viewers of the reality show are eager to know when the latest season will start.

Fans do not have to wait for too long before they can watch Viall as he searches for the woman of his dreams. The production has just revealed that the pilot episode for the long-running reality show will be aired on Jan. 2, 2017, Monday, said Bustle.

The 36-year-old bachelor previously joined "The Bachelorette" as a contestant. Twice Viall tried to win over the heart of the woman but twice he had been unsuccessful. Both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe did not pick Nick.

In this year's "Bachelor in Paradise," Viall also attempted to find love, but again, he had failed. After three attempts and three failures, people might have thought that the Wilhelmina model had enough of "The Bachelor" franchise.

However, to everyone's surprise, Nick is chosen to be 2017's bachelor. Many fans of the reality show were actually shocked at the decision as many had hoped it would be Luke Pell, from Jojo Fletcher's season, who will be finding his soulmate in "The Bachelor" season 21.

Rumor spun around that Pell was ready to be named as the next bachelor but the production team changed their mind the last minute.

According to ABC, "[Nick is] back stronger than ever, ready and eager to begin his search for true love." The press release by the network stated that it is finally Nick's turn to give out roses and choose the woman he would propose to after all the heartaches he experienced in recent years.

"He believes in finding love on the series and hopes it is his time now," ABC continued to say.

Viall himself broke the news about the premiere date of "The Bachelor" season 21 through his Instagram account. Watch the latest season of this ABC reality show starting Jan. 2, Monday at 8 p.m. EST.
