OnePlus is a very new company that has only produced four smartphones as of today. Despite that, it already has a reputation of making good business.

According to International Business Times, despite earlier reports of claiming that the Android 7.0 Nougat update won't be available for OnePlus One, the device was now seen running the OS on GFXBench. Although the model is already over two years old, this sighting could mean that the update may be possible.

However, there are also reports that claim that this is not possible since the smartphone is already an older model and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor inside the phone is not compatible with Android 7.0 Nougat.

HNGN reported that although it might be impossible for OnePlus One to get the update, there is a huge possibility that it will be available for OnePlus X, 2 and 3. There are also rumors that the company is manufacturing a new model that will be released with the same OS.

It was said that the company is planning to launch a new model called OnePlus 3T. Aside from it will run with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, it will also be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and a Sony IMX398 sensor.

In a report by Press KS, OnePlus CEO and founder Pete Lau shared a video in his Twitter accoung that revealed a OnePlus 3 unit that is running in the latest Android OS. Because of that, there were speculations made that the new Android OS will also be available for OnePlus X and 2 before the year ends.

Although the Chinese company is yet to announce when the update will be available in their devices, it was speculated that the new Android 7.0 Nougat will be released by December 2016. As of writing the company is still said to be in the final stages of testing the latest version of the Android OS.
