Weeks after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce; Brad Pitt has filed his response for the first time. His response involves the custody of their six children.

According to News, Pitt is fighting to have joint custody of their children. Jolie first filed for sole physical custody of their children Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, giving Pitt visitation rights.

The divorce and sole physical custody decision came after an alleged incident where Pitt physically hurt their eldest son Maddox during a flight on their private jet. Pitt was then investigated for child abuse, but the actor strongly denies this allegation. His response to Jolie's petition may intensity their divorce and custody battle.

Meanwhile, International Business Times reported that in the middle of his divorce and custody battle, Pitt pulled out of all his promotional commitments for his new movie "Allied." The 52-year-old actor cancelled all interview and chat show appearances. He will also not participate in the press junkets scheduled for the film.

A source claimed that the film was supposed to be a start for Pitt's campaign to finally win an Oscar. However, the controversy he is in risks any publicity. The source also claimed that the press was briefed not to ask anything involving Pitt's personal life to his co-stars.

With that, the actor is also expected not to be present in the red carpet premiere of the film in Los Angeles. Although Pitt's camp is yet to confirm this, a source said that the movie's cast and production understands the predicament he is in now, but in case he decides to appear, he will not say a word to the media and may sneak in a side door.

Pitt plays the role of Max Vatan in the movie and he stars alongside Marion Cottilard who was rumored to be the third party in his relationship with Jolie. Cottilard already denied this allegation.
