Fans weren't able to watch "Criminal Minds" Season 12 Episode 5 last week since it was rescheduled to be aired this week. Aside from a new episode, fans are also eagerly waiting if the show will give Thomas Gibson's character Aaron Hotchner a proper exit in the show.

Parent Herald reported that "Criminal Minds" Season 12 Episode 5 will tackle on bullying among teenagers. It was said that the plot for Episode 5 will revolve around two high school students who survived an attack on their families.

Although it may seem to be an interesting plot, a lot of fans are also waiting on how the producers will write out Hotch in the show. It was previously reported that "Criminal Minds" Season 12 Episode 2 will be Gibson's last appearance; a lot of fans are still waiting for an episode where his character will bid a proper goodbye. Showrunner Erica Messer hinted that an episode that will revolve around Gibson's goodbye is slated to be aired sometime this month.

According to Latin Post, there were fan petitions that call for boycotting the show because of Gibson's exit. There were reports that claim that the show has recorded an 11 percent drop in rating among their total viewers.

A lot of fans are expressing their disappointment of how the way things turned out between Gibson and the show's staff which led him to be fired from the show. Some fans are still hoping that Gibson will someday return and reprise his role.

The hashtag "#NoHotchNoWatch," trended in Twitter and other social media sites where fans expressed their support to Gibson. Gibson who is equally disappointed has plans on filing a lawsuit against the production.

With the ongoing petition to boycott the show and its low ratings, there are reports of a possible cancellation of the show. As of writing, CBS is yet to address this rumor.

"Criminal Minds" Season 12 Episode 5 titled "Anti-Terror Squad" will air on CBS on Nov 9.
