Prince Harry warns media against invading his girlfriend's privacy
United Kingdom's Prince Harry is one of the most eligible bachelors of his generation, though he's currently in a relationship with American actress Meghan Markle. Though both of them are public figures, Prince Harry still wants to keep their relationship private and out of the media's prying eyes.
Just recently, Prince Harry has warned the media to stop bashing and harassing his lady love, CNN has reported.
In a statement issued by Kensington Palace, the prince said "that the past week has seen a line crossed. His girlfriend Meghan Markle has been on the wave of abuse and harassment, some of these are very public."
Meghan Markle is one of the lead stars of the TV series " Suits." Some reports say that the actress is experiencing forms harassment from social media sites and from American media as well. Her home in Toronto was invaded by news reporters and some networks are bribing his ex-boyfriend to accuse her of malicious things.
Because of this controversy, Prince Harry has stood by his girlfriend's side and pleaded the media to pause and reflect before posting anything against her. The Guardian reported that the Prince of Wales made his plea after his girlfriend is bashed on newspapers and social media.
The 32-year old royal, simply put, isn't a "darling of the press," compared to his mom, the late Princess Diana of Wales.
Though he's part of a royal family, Harry faced a number of negative issues involving the media. During his younger years, he had a fight with a paparazzi photographer in a nightclub. Just four years ago, he was on the hot seat as his nude photos leaked and became viral on the Internet.
