‘How to Get Away with Murder’ Season 3 Spoilers: Is there a slight chance that Wes is Alive? Theories on what came down in Annalise’s house before the fire? [VIDEO]
Massive fans of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 are still in disbelief that the series runner pulled out the most shocking twist in the history of the show. Wes, considered as the second main lead is the one under the sheet and no one saw it coming.
When Wes was shown alive in a flash forward a couple of episodes before the midseason finale, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. This meant the beloved character is not the one who died in the fire. However in the twist of all twists only Pete Nowalk can pull off, millions of jaws dropped watching the dying minutes of the Nov. 17 episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3.
Many are in denial, even doubting if Wes is really dead even after he was shown on the coroner's table, badly burned and with no life, just seconds away from being autopsied. No one can really blame these fans. After all, HTGAWM is known for many surprises. Maybe, just maybe, bringing someone back from the dead is one of them.
However, the likelihood that the student closest to Annalise is breathing is slim. Not unless he got hold of a serum to fake death just like they do in spy movies and shows. At this moment, there is no probable cause to fake Wes' death.
So what happened in between Wes leaving the police station and the explosion inside Annalise's home? Who has the gall to kill him? Or did he kill himself to save Annalise, who has been good to her, from being sent to jail?
First, it is quite impossible that Wes' death is suicide since this show is all about murder and getting away with it. Therefore, it is safe to believe that Wes was murdered.
The obvious answer to the question, "who killed Wes?" is Frank. Why? The opportunity presented itself. Frank is desperate to get back in Annalise's good side and the only way to do this is to kill the person who might betray the feisty defense lawyer.
Frank must have found out in some way that Wes is being questioned for Rebecca's death. Assuming that the law student was cooperating with the police to incarcerate Annalise, Frank took matter into his own hands and got rid of him.
Doing so will not only eliminate the threat on Annalise's life but also save Bonnie from being imprisoned. It should be noted that Bonnie was really the one who killed Rebecca. At the same time, Frank would be able to kill the one guy that got in between his and Laurel's relationship.
On the other hand, Frank may not be the one who started the fire. Our bet is on Nate on this one. Remember that Annalise's ex went to the coroner to check the body for himself. Maybe it is guilt on his part thinking that the person died due to the explosion, which is why he had to make sure what the COD was.
Nate went to Annalise's house, saw the mess there. Knowing that the police may be investigating soon, he placed the house on fire to get rid of any evidence that may take Annalise to jail, not aware that Wes' dead body is in the house and Laurel was only moments away from entering the property.
Too many questions "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 left after the midseason finale. Watch the premiere of the second half this January, 2017 on ABC.
