Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware has now revealed the official title for the upcoming new Dark Souls 3 downloadable content (DLC) which is Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City. Fans have of course been waiting a while for any new information regarding the new DLC and the confirmation of its title is good news indeed. Previous reports had revealed that some information that was based on clues gathered from the game's source code, but it seems like some of the info may have been wrong.
A YouTube user named "Sanadsk," just recently posted a video that outlined his different findings during his search through the game's code. According to the user, he was apparently able to uncover some very telling clues that may have just revealed the upcoming DLC's title and its possible setting.
As mentioned in the video, the user was able to uncover a string of code that is constantly referring to the phrase "Miyako No Mouja." Roughly translated to English, the phrase means either "Dead Capital" or "The City of the Dead." According to a report from The Bitbag, the phrase could very well be the actual title of the game's upcoming second DLC. However, the information has been revealed to be way off target as Bandai has now officially announced the DLC's title.
Aside from wrongly predicted title of the upcoming Dark Souls 3 DLC, the YouTuber also revealed that he had uncovered several references to "Londor." The specific area is also called the "Land of the Hallows," and is of course already known to be the hometown of Dark Souls characters Yuria and Yoel. Not much has really been revealed about the location itself, but if it would indeed be the setting for the new DLC, then players may soon be intimately introduced to it in the coming months.
Based on the findings, several fans have also concluded that both Yuria and Yoel may become central characters in the upcoming DLC. Both characters might even be prominently intertwined in a new storyline that will reveal to players more information about the aforementioned "Land of the Hallows."
The Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City DLC pack is scheduled to be released on March 28. The DLC will be available for all regions and playable on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game.
