Pokemon Go Gen 2 Release Slated In March; Upgrade To Bring Legendary Pokemon, Muti-player Battle Mode And More [VIDEO]
Pokemon Go has obtained the top spot among gaming charts last year and it seems that its developer wanted to retain that position as the video game is bound to receive its Gen 2 upgrade in March. This update is predicted to bring legendary Pokemon, multi-player battle mode and other exciting features that will surely hook its players.
According to Mobile & Apps, the much-awaited Pokemon Go Gen 2 is expected to roll out on March 21. Nevertheless, Niantic Lab hasn't confirmed that information as of the moment so it should be treated with skeptcism.
It was also noted that The Silph Road, has revealed some clues in the latest Pokemon Go patch indicated that Niantic Lab is gearing up for a big Gen 2 release. The patch data has showed 38 new moves that have been added to the game.
Particularly, a large number of the newly learned moves are definitely learned by Gen 2 Pokémon like Slash, Iron Tail and Hex and new charge-up moves like Mirror Coat, Crunch and Zap Cannon. In addition, new debugging options have been exposed in the mine which includes categories for Gender, Costume, Species, Form and Shiny.
Aside from that, Southport Visiter has learned that the Pokemon Go Gen 2 will also bring multi-player battle mode wherein Pokemon trainers can be pitted against their chosen competitor. The said idea is assumed to be welcomed by players as it would make the video game more collaborative and attractive.
The Pokemon Go Gen 2 might also bring Shiny Pokemons which are expected to have a colored reskin built into the game's animation and there might be 3D version. The Shiny creatures will be made clearer so that the players could easily spot and capture.
Lastly, the upgrade will bring better distance tracking as this aspect of the game is still not great and players are hoping the GPS malfunction can be fixed. Frequently, the distance on the map only counts for a fraction of how far users actually gone and sometimes the tracker can shut down if it thinks gamers are in a fast moving vehicle.
With these new features that the Pokemon Go Gen 2 might bring, it seems that the gamers will appreciate these enhancements. Moreover, Niantic Lab hasn't uttered any word yet so, it is recommended to wait for further details.
