Bethesda has just made an announcement saying that the first "Fallout 4" update in 2017 will be released in next week. The update will bring a number of killer features, but PS4 Pro users are going to get the biggest benefit from this update.

Update 1.9 will be adding support for the more powerful console i.e. PS4 Pro by providing the enhanced lighting and the graphics, including a 1440p resolution. With the new update draw distance for trees, grass, NPCs and other objects will also be increased, according to VG247. The lighting upgrade is coming with better godray effects too.

On PC the Bethesda will be releasing a high-resolution texture pack. Similar to the Skyrim one from back in the day, this one will be free for anyone to download. These will use up an extra 58GB of space in to your HDD, so you should make sure that you have enough space.

This particular upgrade will require a more powerful PC, and Bethesda posted a new set of recommended specifications that your PC must meet or exceed. Thankfully, you can disable the high-resolution textures at any time from the game's launcher if you run into performance issues. The specifications includes a Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS), an Intel Core i7-5820K or better processor, and Nvidia GTX 1080 8GB or AMD Radeon RX 490 8GB. The RAM should ideally be 8GB+.

In line with the new pack for PC, Bethesda has also includes a new patch for PS4 Pro. The new patch will be enhancing graphics of the game. Like any other game, Bethesda is trying to push the envelope just to satisfy their players. The requirement for the upgrade might be costly but if you really want to enjoy the game, you have to get what is required first, as per Game Spot.

Xbox One will also be getting an update in the coming week, however the developer didn't detail what changes will be made there. Bethesda mentioned that all these updates, and a similar one for Skyrim: Special Edition will bring "new features to Mod content."
