‘Rainbow Six Siege’ Update: Velvet Shell Update Comes With New Characters, Map & More; Find Out Everything Here
Ubisoft recently treated "Rainbow Six Siege" fans with the big Velvet Shell update. The new DLC comes in with a lot of new additions, but it takes its toll on the game's server. However, the video game company is doing it all to fix everything to continue their clients' playtime.
"Rainbow Six Siege" players will definitely enjoy the new features that come with the Velvet Shell update. The DLC got two Operators coming in the game along with a new map, which is called Coastline.
The map has the new Two-Layer Destruction system that will be soon available on all future maps, according to Ubisoft. "Rainbox Six Siege" users, too, will be happy to have it as it will be free for all, GameSpot reported.
Velvet Shell update also comes with two new characters. One is the Attacker named Jackal that has the ability to see the enemies' footprints while the other one is the Defender named Mira, who has the talent to set a bulletproof and one-way window in walls.
Moreover, Velvet Shell update carries a new look to "Rainbow Six Siege" menu and new customization items. It also has four latest signature weapon skins; Chupinazo, El Dorado, Leon Furioso and Crossfader. These guns are described to be carrying "sleek, vibrant designs inspired by the colors of the Spanish shores."
Other things that are included in the Velvet Shell update are the new Elite sets that include Rook. This is composed of "matching uniform and headgear, Operator card, Operator title, charm and a signature victory animation." Lastly, the DLC has a number of bug fixes for "Rainbow Six Siege."
The Velvet Shell update was dropped on Feb. 7 and free for season pass owners while other users can buy the DLC using real money or in-game currency starting next week. Meanwhile, because of the update, the "Rainbow Six Siege" servers are down, Daily Express cited.
"We are aware of an outage on all platforms," the Ubisoft team said in an announcement. "Our team is investigating." The problem may due to the users trying to update "Rainbow Six Siege" with Velvet Shell DLC at once and trying to play the game instantly to try the new content.
