There was a part of the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer that two teams playing "Splatoon 2" on the hybrid gaming console from a crowd at the eSports arena. With that said, it seems that the shooting game might have a chance to be one of the game titles for eSports in the near future.

According to Kotaku, "Splatoon 2" could earn a spot to be one of eSports game titles, besides "DOTA 2" and "League of Legends." Over the years, the competitive shooter game has a huge following since the previous game title debuted on the Nintendo Wii U.

Nintendo of America recently tweeted about "Splatoon 2" that the game title can support 10 Nintendo Switch consoles over LAN for a private match. With this announcement, it indicates a marketing push to add the shooter game to the eSports as a non-endemic game.

The "Splatoon" tournament organizer for the Booyah Battle Series, BestTeaMaker described the amount of equipment needed to host a single match of the shooter game. In an AMA in 2016, members of the organizers discussed that LAN events are hard and expensive due to the number of capture devices and Ethernet connections needed.

With that said, Nintendo will have to put a large amount of cash to push "Splatoon 2" into the eSports community. But, with the support of the game's fans, it will not be much harder to get the game into the gaming event.

Meanwhile, "Splatoon 2" producer Hisashi Nogami recently talked about the game's features and what players should expect to find in the game. Nogami states that the ink-based shooting game will support the Joy-Con controllers HD Rumble feature as WCCFTech reports.

Other than that, Nogami noted that "Splatoon 2" will also be able to run at 60fps on the Nintendo Switch. Nogami continued that the team is working to improve the graphics and it the top priority as of the moment.
