'Rick and Morty' Season 3: Adult Swim Releases The First Episode Of 'Rick and Morty' Season 3
Just when there was no news about "Rick and Morty" season 3 and when it will come out, Adult Swim dropped the first episode of the third season on April Fool's day. After a long time, Dan Harmon blessed the fans with good news when he unveiled the first episode of "Rick and Morty" season 3.
While this was considered the greatest April Fool's surprise unanimously by fans worldwide, it also became very hard to believe that a series that had no production plans anytime soon suddenly released an episode of the new season.
The fans were rightfully worried, as "Rick and Morty" is one of the most popular shows on the planet, with an average IMDb rating of 9.3 out of 10. Even while watching the first few minutes of the new episode fans were worried that this might be an elaborate hoax. Many fans tweeted halfway into the show that they were expecting Rick popping out and surprising them with an April Fool's shocker.
Surprisingly, that didn't happen and "Rick and Morty" season 3 opened with a massive grandeur of an episode. Harmon and Justin Roiland have a history of pranking their audience. They also love to tease the fans and pull out practical jokes.
Earlier this year there were reports of "Rick and Morty" season 3 being delayed. However, that could have been the elaborate hoax itself to build up a hype before the April Fool's Day surprise. This stems from the fact that Adult Swim Australia played on fans with a teaser for "Rick and Morty" season 3. However, that trailer turned out to be the song "Never gonna give you up".
Dan Harmon also warned fans against berating the team of writers and animators along with the creators of the show. He stressed on the fact that wanting the season to drop faster wouldn't make it available sooner. Harmon also did not shed a light on when the next episode might be coming. However, fans predict that it might be sooner than people think.
Stay tuned for more "Rick and Morty" season 3 updates.
