Why Isn't Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola Seen On 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation'?
Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola did not rejoin her costars for the upcoming Jersey Shore: Family Reunion and on Friday, March 30, she explained why.
Following months of speculation in regard to why Giancola did want to be a part of the upcoming season of the hit reality show, she set the record straight with her fans and followers, explaining that she's simply choosing to focus on other things at this point in her life.
"I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship," she wrote. "I am not the same person as I was when I was 22."
According to Giancola, who is now 31, she is extremely happy with her life as it stands and doesn't want to jeopardize that happiness by allowing herself to be put into potentially toxic situations with her costars. That said, deciding to stay away from the reunion altogether wasn't the easiest choice for the former reality star.
Sammi Giancola Is Grateful For Her Experiences On MTV
Giancola admitted that it was hard for her to opt out of the reunion with her costars because she truly has love for them. However, when it comes to her future, she's choosing to look back with gratitude to MTV as she moves forward and focuses on the things that truly make her happy.
Giancola also thanked her fans and followers for their ongoing support.
Due to her success on Jersey Shore years ago, Giancola was able to launch her own perfume in 2011 and open her online boutique, Sweetheart Styles, in 2013.
In closing, Giancola suggested that she may be returning to the spotlight sooner than later, telling her audience.
"I'm not going anywhere!"
She also encouraged them to follow her and stay tuned to see what was in store.
Sammi Giancola Opted Out For Her Boyfriend?
Although Giancola didn't mention boyfriend Christian Biscardi in her post, her former boyfriend and costar Ronnie Magro suggested on Friday that it was because of Biscardi that Giancola steered clear off the cameras. Magro, who is expecting his first child later this year, also said he wished she had been on board with the series' return.
“We started this all together and I would have loved to have finished it together because now everyone thinks it’s because of me she didn’t come back, but it’s because she has a boyfriend,” he told Us Weekly.
Jersey Shore: Family Reunion returns to MTV on April 5 at 8 p.m.
