Carrie Underwood Unveils Half Of Her Face After Accident, Reveals She's Back In The Studio
Carrie Underwood showed her millions of fans a portion of her face on social media, which was the most the country singing sensation had shown her fans and followers since her accident last November.
The photo also confirms Underwood is back in the studio.
Carrie Makes A Major Move
Underwood showed half of her face in her latest photo she shared on Instagram Wednesday, April 4. She rocked a hoodie and a messy bun as she sat in the studio in the picture that went viral just moments after she posted it.
Fans made it clear they were here for it as it received more than 150,000 likes in two hours. They were not only happy to see Underwood's face, but excited that she was back in the studio and working on new music.
Details Of Her Scary Fall
Underwood revealed to fans earlier this year that she fell outside of her home in November. While it took her weeks to explain how badly she was hurt, she eventually let fans know that she had to receive more than 40 stitches. The singer also fractured her wrist in the accident.
“I’ll spare you the gruesome details,” said Underwood when she explained her accident an injury to fans nearly two months after the incident. “But when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told [Underwood’s husband] Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in.”
Carrie's Life Behind The Camera
Underwood decided not to show much of her face during the healing process ahead of her first public appearance. Instead, the photos she did post on Instagram only showed portions of her face. She also shared snapshots where parts of her face were blurred or blocked out.
Also in the message, Underwood told fans that she would be working on new music. She also warned them that she’ll look “different” than the Underwood they are used to.
“When I am ready to get in front of the camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different,” added Underwood. “I’m hoping that by then, the differences are minimal, but again, I just don’t know how it’s all going to end up.”
Interestingly enough, Adrienne Gang, of Bravo’s Below Deck, shared a photo with Underwood weeks before Underwood made her statement to fans. While Underwood wore a wrist brace, Gang said she couldn’t even tell that the singer’s face was injured at all.
