Queen Elizabeth II Body Language at the End of Platinum Jubilee Showed True Self, Expert Says
Queen Elizabeth II just celebrated her four-day Platinum Jubilee from June 1 to June 4.
The occasion celebrated the Queen's 70th year as queen, making her the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
According to body language expert Judi James who spoke to the Daily Mail, she could be seen "narrowing" her eyes to prevent "breaking down" towards the close of the four-day celebrations on Sunday.
According to the expert, Queen Elizabeth II battled to "not be overtaken by emotions" as thousands of well-wishers clapped for her from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
She allegedly appeared for three minutes on the famed balcony, stating that she was "dedicated to serving" the nation to the "best" of her "capacity."
While standing there, James observed the Queen's body language and stated that the 96-year-old was using "all her strength" not to cry in public - which, if it ever happened, would be the first time in her life.
When she stepped onto the famed balcony following the Platinum Pageant on the final day of the celebrations, there were apparently evident traces of her eyes and lips being "sucked" as she was encircled by her family and received the biggest applause from royal supporters.
The procession, like the other Platinum Jubilee events, presented the tale of Her Majesty's life and the nation via a weird, colorful, and innovative carnival-like show, which the Queen, sadly, missed.
"Forget some of the few times when the Queen has been deemed to be sobbing in the past, and they have frequently entailed little more than moist eyes which the cold weather or even age may cause," Judi James told the site.
"This balcony appearance revealed more coherent indicators that she could have been striving not to be overtaken by tears," she continued.
Of course, Queen Elizabeth II smiled and recognized everyone in the audience. Thousands of people waited in the hope of seeing her as she glanced down here.
Queen Elizabeth II subsequently stated in a statement that there is no manual for being Queen of the nation for 70 years, as she was the first to do so.
However, she is "humbled and sincerely touched" that so many people came out to honor her 70th year on the throne.
Her Majesty was joined by Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Judi James believes the location of Prince Charles to her left, Prince George to her front, and Prince William to her right was intended to be "iconic."
"It was a defining moment. The Queen was standing in a line of continuity."
