Prince William And Prince George Attend Soccer Match As Kate Middleton Undergoes Cancer Treatment
Amid Princess Kate Middleton's cancer treatment, Prince William accompanied his eldest son, Prince George, for a outing to support their favorite soccer team.
The duo were seen in the stands at Aston Villa's match against Lille OSC during the UEFA Europa Conference League 2023-2024 quarterfinal in Birmingham on Thursday. The pair enthusiastically engaged in the match, pointing, standing, and applauding as Aston Villa secured a 2-1 victory against their opponents.
Both William, 41, and George were impeccably dressed for the occasion, sporting button-down shirts paired with sweaters and matching navy coats. George, 10, wore an Aston Villa scarf wrapped around his neck.
With the Easter holiday providing a break from school, George, along with his siblings Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, enjoyed the leisure time. The holiday coincided with the day Kate, 42, revealed her undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
"At the time [of my surgery], it was thought that my condition was noncancerous. The surgery was successful, however, tests after the operation found cancer had been present," Kate said via a video shared online on March 22. "My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I'm now in the early stages of that treatment."
The Princess of Wales shared that the news came as a significant surprise to her and her close circle, emphasizing that she and William "have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family."
