King Charles is reportedly ordering Prince Andrew to move to the residence that Prince Harry vacated, with the monarch's decision addressing several issues and sending a clear message to the two princes.

Royal biographer and commentator Tom Quinn weighed in on the reports about the British monarch's feud with the Duke of York over the Royal Lodge. King Charles allegedly wants his younger sibling to vacate it and move to Frogmore Cottage, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously lived. His Majesty requested Prince Harry to vacate the property last year since he wanted Prince Andrew to move there.

"For King Charles, forcing Andrew to move to Frogmore solves several problems at once," Quinn told GB News. "It sends a message to Harry that, as a private citizen and no longer a working royal, he will never be allowed back to Frogmore."

The author of "Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle" claimed that the move also sent a message to Prince Andrew. He suggested that the future Royal Lodge residents could be Prince William and Kate Middleton and their growing family.

"It sends [a] message to Andrew that having disgraced himself, he can no longer expect to live in the grand style," Quinn continued. "And, finally, it means that a suitably grand residence can be made ready for the royals who really matter, William and Kate. Charles is determined that Royal Lodge is the only residence on the royal estate at Windsor that is big enough and regal enough for his heir."

Prince Harry and Markle moved into Frogmore Cottage a few weeks before they welcomed their son, Archie, in May 2019. The couple stayed there until they left the U.K. and settled in the U.S. in 2020. However, they continued to pay the rent for three years until King Charles chose to evict them from Frogmore Cottage in 2023.

"We always saw Archie running around the garden at Frogmore Cottage and maybe jumping in the Queen's pond. That was all part of our future, and everything changed really, really quickly," Prince Harry shared in the Netflix docuseries "Harry & Meghan" about the future he envisioned for Archie in Windsor, per People.

"We knew we were going to get some breathing space from this very painful experience that we'd been stuck in, but also, at the same time, it was really sad."

In June 2023, Prince Harry listed the U.S. as his new "Country/State Usually Resident." His previous record showed it was the U.K. The move fell on the same month his tenure in Frogmore Cottage ended.

Royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths, editor at large at Mail on Sunday, believed he trolled his dad considering the timing of the move. Griffiths called the Duke of Sussex "spiteful," noting that "nothing is by chance with Harry."

"Why is he so hung up on Frogmore? This is the country he was desperate to get away from. This is a house he didn't particularly want to live in and, in fact, didn't live in," Griffiths continued.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew moved to the Royal Lodge in 2004 with his two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. His ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, joined them on the property four years later, the Daily Mail reported.

King Charles allegedly wants the Duke of York to vacate the Royal Lodge and move to Frogmore to cut security costs. The monarch reportedly funds his disgraced brother's protection, which costs $3.8 million annually.
