Richard Simmons Encourages Fans To Pray For Kate Middleton After Prince William's Health Update About Wife
Richard Simmons asked for prayers for Kate Middleton.
The Princess of Wales has not been seen in public since she announced her cancer diagnosis in March. On Thursday, the American professional fitness coach took to X, formerly Twitter, to encourage his followers to include Middleton in their prayers.
"I know I ask you to pray for people...I am asking you to please pray for Princess Kate. She is so beautiful and a wonderful wife and mother. I do hope she is feeling better today. Love, Richard," Simmons tweeted.
The post received several responses, with many sending their prayers and support for the Duchess of Cambridge, who has been undergoing preventive cancer treatment.
"Praying healing for Kate and comfort for her family, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen," one commented.
Another added, "Prayers for Princess Kate [multiple prayer emojis.]"
Several also appreciated Simmons' thoughtful gesture of encouraging the people to include Middleton in their prayers. Some even thanked him for his sweet move for the future queen.
"Done sir. I love you for being selfless and an amazing person," one commenter wrote.
Another remarked, "Thank you, Richard! I kneel in prayer with you. I do hope she is alive and gets well."
"Prayers going to her and everyone who has cancer or been lost to it. My beautiful sister is gone because of it and left two 8-year-old twins. XOXO," a different user said.
Prince William shared an update about his wife when he visited the veterans at the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Portsmouth, England, on Wednesday. He attended the event with his father, King Charles, and stepmom, Queen Camilla.
"She is better, thanks," Prince William said in a video when one veteran asked about Middleton amid her cancer battle. "[Kate] would have loved to be here today."
The Prince of Wales also mentioned Middleton's grandmother, Valerie Middleton, who once worked as a codebreaker at the historic World War II spy base Bletchley Park.
"I was reminding everyone her grandmother served at Bletchley Park," the heir apparent said. "So, she had quite a few in common with some of the ladies here who were at Bletchley."
Prince William previously said in another event that Middleton only knew about her grandmother's service "at the end of her life." Valerie passed away in 2006.
Meanwhile, another source spoke with Us Weekly and said Middleton's "recovery is going well." However, the Palace reportedly doesn't want to compromise her, but "she's up and about."
The tipster also claimed that her team is "reevaluating what she's going to be able to take on when she comes back," and "she may never come back in the role that people saw her in before."
