Jennifer Lopez, 'Broody' Ben Affleck Spotted 'Chilling' While Enjoying Dinner Together Amid Divorce Rumors
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were plagued by divorce rumors, but they appeared to be still enjoying each other's company two weeks ago, according to an entertainment correspondent.
Justin Sylvester, an E! News co-host, appeared on Monday's episode of "Today with Hoda & Jenna" for "The Scoop" segment. The hosts asked him about Bennifer's status, and Sylvester started with the headlines about the couple selling their $60 million mansion, which fueled the divorce rumors.
However, according to him, he saw the celebrity couple "at dinner two weeks ago," and they appeared fine amid the rumors circulating that they were already living separately and divorce was imminent.
"How do I say this on daytime TV? They looked like they still are enjoying one another," he told the hosts, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.
Kotb prompted Sylvester to share more details about the sighting.
"They looked like they were happy at a restaurant. They were chilling. He was his normal broody self. She was talking his ear off. Like, they looked like they were in good form," he added.
Elizabeth April, a psychic, spiritual teacher and author of "You're Not Dying You're Just Waking Up," also weighed in on the divorce rumors. She claimed that J.Lo and Affleck have the same dynamics as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who are very much in love with each other, so it's unlikely for them to end their marriage.
"Ben and J.Lo have a similar dynamic to Travis [Kelce] and Taylor [Swift], with Ben being more of the introvert and J.Lo being more of the extrovert. Although there have been some rocky moments for Ben and J. Lo, they seem to have worked it out and ultimately found their flow," April said.
"Ben brings J. Lo the calming safety she craves, and she brings him the excitement he desires but doesn't know how to access. I see them as vibrationally matched, and for the most part, they have cleared their karma, which allows them to enjoy each other without the challenge. I see them being together long-term."
Meanwhile, Mayah Riaz, a celebrity manager and publicist known as PR-to-the-Stars, previously discussed the same matter. She suggested that the divorce rumors could be a strategy to distract the public from Lopez's career downfall so that instead of talking about her low ticket sales for the concert, which she eventually canceled, they would talk about her personal life.
"It is not uncommon for celebrities to face speculation and rumors, particularly during challenging times in their careers. Divorce rumors or personal life distractions can sometimes be used as a strategy to divert attention from any professional setbacks," Riaz explained.
