O.J. Simpson's Best Friend Al Cowlings May Have Knew About The Murder Weapon That 'Swims With The Fishes'
O.J. Simpson's best friend Al Cowlings may have some info he has not yet shared about the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson.
In the latest gripping documentary series, 'TMZ Presents: O.J. How He Really Did It,' deeper truths about the infamous 1994 slayings of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman are being unveiled. The series, hosted by Harvey Levin, promises to shed new light on the case that has captivated the public for decades.
It was Cowlings who drove the white Bronco during the infamous Los Angeles car chase. Cowlings was arrested following the chase. In the time after, he reportedly turned to Wayne Hughes for help. He allegedly said if Hughes did not provide assistance, Cowlings, now 76, threatened to reveal everything he knew about the murders.
Hughes was a businessman who founded the company Public Storage. He died in 2021, but, when he was alive, he often hosted gatherings that included both the Simpsons. In a startling revelation, Nicole reportedly confided in Hughes about O.J.'s abusive behavior towards her. Despite this crucial piece of information, Hughes was barred from testifying in court.
According to 'TMZ,' an adult film star who knew Cowlings spoke to 'TIME' following the murders. She alleged Cowlings confided in her that the knife used in the murders "swims with the fishes."
Adding an interesting twist, the house where Hughes hosted his parties is now owned by Harvey Levin himself.
This is not the only docuseries to have been released recently surrounding the murders.
The producers of 'Surviving R. Kelly' released their own docuseries earlier in June titled 'The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson.' Through interviews with family and friends, the docuseries aims to give a detailed and nuanced account of Nicole's side of the story.
'TMZ Presents: O.J. How He Really Did It' is available for streaming on Tubi.
