Kate Middleton returned to the public spotlight by attending Trooping the Colour.

The Princess of Wales had been out of the public eye for months. Fans were wondering where Middleton was after the Palace announced in January that she underwent abdominal surgery. In March, the future queen confirmed that she had been diagnosed with cancer. However, Middleton was reportedly confident when she made her first public appearance after her health scare and months-long absence.

"Kate's body language during this first-step return was a masterclass in what being a royal is all about," Judi James, a leading communication and body language expert who is featured regularly on BBC News, Sky News, GB News and CNN, told the Daily Mail. "She already had the template from the late Queen and it included stoicism and calm with not one drop of self-pity or drama."

The "Body Language Bible" author also praised Middleton's characteristics, which reportedly showed she was a "rightful heir" to the Queen title.

"Kate's approach to the public seems to be one similar to the approach she must have taken with her own children: one of confident determination, reassurance and even support," James continued. "In case anyone was in doubt, this appearance has shown her to be the rightful heir to the title of Queen."

James also shared what she observed between the Prince and Princess of Wales during the sighting. According to her, there was evident joy in the royal couple when they were reunited on the world stage.

"The most touching mutual reward signal came from William and Kate though when their eyes finally met," James said of the future king and queen.
