Prince Harry is not trying to return to his royal duties despite claims that he wants to do so amid the health scare in the royal family.

Earlier this year, King Charles announced he was diagnosed with cancer. Several reports claimed that the Duke of Sussex wanted to temporarily return to his royal duties four years after quitting after hearing about it. Months later, his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, also announced that she was diagnosed with cancer, and just recently, Princess Anne was hospitalized after an incident involving a horse.

Cameron Walker, GB News royal correspondent, was recently asked if Prince Harry would be taking on more royal responsibilities after three senior royals -- one in the hospital and two undergoing cancer treatment -- had to step back. The royal expert said he doesn't think it's the case because even if Prince Harry's "frustrated" with his situation, he's "pretty happy" in California.

"I don't think it's to do with we're losing members of the Royal Family temporarily, such as the Princess of Wales and Princess Anne," Walker said on GB News. "I think he's trying to go it alone. I don't think this is him trying to become a working member of the Royal Family again. I think he is pretty happy in California from the messages we are getting from him, but clearly it is a huge frustration."

Walker acknowledged royal watchers and royal fans wondering what Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, could have done to help his family if they stayed. King Charles noticeably decided to maintain the slimmed-down monarchy with only the working members of the family joining him on the balcony during Trooping the Colour.

"I think over the last few years, it's been pretty clear that Prince Harry has been pretty angry and frustrated with the situation he's ended up being in," Walker said.

The royal expert added that Prince Harry would be figuring out what he wanted to do and pursue it.

"There's been long periods of absence, I think, from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. And this is him, perhaps, carving out his role again. Seeing what he enjoys, what his passion is, and that is clearly military engagements and highlighting military causes," he explained. "That is, I think, what we're seeing from Prince Harry."

Meanwhile, an unnamed source claimed Prince Harry tried to score an invite to this year's Trooping the Colour. However, he reportedly didn't get one and was "heartbroken and confused" by how his family allegedly "cut him off."
