Prince Harry allegedly snubbed David Beckham at one event, so the latter took revenge on him, according to a new book.

Investigative reporter and author Tom Bower detailed the falling out of the Beckhams with the Sussexes in his new book "The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power." He mentioned an incident when Prince Harry allegedly snubbed the former athlete at the behest of his wife, Meghan Markle.

Victoria Beckham's husband attended the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Invictus Games is an annual event for injured veterans, servicemen and women that Prince Harry founded in 2014. However, the English former footballer, who has met the royal family several times, including King Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry, reportedly felt he was blocked from meeting the Invictus founder.

"Beckham found himself alone at the Invictus Games stadium," Bower wrote, per the New York Post. "Arriving on the agreed day to meet Prince Harry, he was perplexed [as to] why officials were playing a dance to keep him happy, but away from Harry."

The ex-soccer player reportedly questioned the officials why he wasn't allowed to be with Prince Harry at the event. He later allegedly learned that "the prince had ordered that under no circumstances was the footballer to be allowed near him."

"Photographs of the two together were forbidden," Bower added. "The royal snub was brutal. David Beckham was puzzled. Why did the prince refuse to meet him?"

Bower continued, "The exclusion order, it later transpired, was issued by Meghan. She did not want any competition in the media from Beckham and especially not from his wife Victoria."

David was reportedly hurt and "perplexed" by what happened. However, he did his revenge four years later by supporting Prince William and Kate Middleton to help overshadow another event attended by Prince Harry and Markle.

David "flew 7,600 miles from Qatar to Boston to join the new Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, and President Joe Biden to celebrate the launch of the royals' environmental Earthshot prize," Bower wrote.

"Harry and Meghan were seeking to wow Americans during an event in New York. Inevitably, the Sussexes were overshadowed by the constellation [of celebrities] in Boston," Bower added. "Beckham had got his revenge for the Sydney snub."

In the same book, Bower claimed that Markle wanted free clothes and bags from Victoria's brand. However, the palace reportedly vetoed it since it was "against their rules."

Markle also allegedly took offense when a member of Victoria's staff offered her beauty advice, and the story leaked to the press. She allegedly ordered Prince Harry to probe David, and the latter asked his wife.

Victoria blamed the leak on a beautician. From then on, the Beckhams and Sussexes' relationship reportedly dwindled. Victoria and David did not invite Prince Harry and Meghan to their son Brooklyn's lavish wedding to Nicola Peltz in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2022.
