Suki Waterhouse got candid about her lost love and the "pure love" she found when she met her partner, Robert Pattinson.

Waterhouse recently graced the cover of Vogue in a Bottega Veneta coat with her 3-month-old newborn. In the interview for the issue, she opened up about the love she lost and found when she met and started dating the "Twilight" actor.

Waterhouse said they met six years ago at a games night in Los Angeles. However, she recalled meeting him "a long time ago" before that, but he couldn't remember it. They played "Werewolf" that night in the City of Angels, and it was reportedly "very, very intense." She said several "big" characters, including Al Pacino, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz, and "everyone was really acting."

The "Good Looking" singer said she and Pattinson shared the same "slight uncomfortable-ness" and were "giggling at the absurdity of the whole thing" until one director separated them because "we were laughing too much." They didn't exchange numbers that night, but six or seven months later, they met again and that "had percolated [something]," according to her.

"I think Rob's quite funny, I light up when I'm around him," the "Daisy Jones & The Six" star said, adding that she "definitely became a lot more fun when I met him."

Waterhouse noted that she has become very different from her old self when she revisited her old romance with ex-boyfriend Bradley Cooper a decade ago. They dated in 2013; he was 38, while she was 21 at the time. Their romance lasted for two years, but it was a hard breakup for her.

In her self-released single "Brutally," she detailed the heartache of the love she lost.

"Seems to me, it's over / I'll get used to it eventually / Over and over again, brutally / It's just the way it's meant to be / Now your love's no good for me," she sings in the track.

In the song, Waterhouse said they were "always on borrowed time." She also admitted to a fan in a TikTok video that she struggled to put the song out.

"And [feel] so sad when I'm singing it. So, so sad. I never thought I'd be OK again," she shared.

In her interview with Vogue, Waterhouse looked back at her previous romance with Cooper and said it was "dark and difficult."

"I really will say that I'm pretty strong at this point, but when something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you're actually not doing well, and you can't explain yourself to the world, that's very isolating and disorientating," she said. "It probably has taken a decade to work myself out and actually be able to have this expansion in my life."

Despite what she went through, the singer-actress said that making music was her therapy and that "you can't let go of things until you expose them to sunlight." She also expressed no regrets about what had happened to her in the past because she "played a part" in it.

"I wouldn't take anything back," she replied when asked if she wanted to change any of her experiences. "All these chaotic ways that my life went, it was always material." She added that even when things were tough, it "led me to a love that is really pure and a life now."

Waterhouse and Cooper split in March 2015 after two years of dating. Per Us Weekly, Cooper sparked romance rumors with Irina Shayk about the same time after they took part in a Broadway show together.

Cooper and Shayk eventually became an item and welcomed a daughter the following March. However, they split four years later.

Waterhouse and Pattinson started dating in 2018. They got engaged in December 2023 after announcing that they were expecting a baby. They welcomed their daughter in March, People reported.
