Queen Camilla and King Charles are not tactile, but she showed her "affection" toward her husband during their trip to Edinburgh, Scotland, according to a body language expert.

The British King and Queen have spent the week in Scotland, attending various events as part of a scaled-back Holyrood Week. Despite His Majesty's cancer diagnosis and treatment, he appeared energetic as he interacted with the officials and members of the public. He was even seen smiling alongside his wife, who reportedly appeared "affectionate."

Darren Stanton, a body language and behavioral expert who has been featured on ITV, BBC, Mail Online, Sky News and GBN, weighed in on the royal couple's gestures. According to him, Queen Camilla's "affectionate" eyes showed how "in tune" she was with her husband. He also noticed "great interactions" between the royal couple during public appearances.

"There were some great interactions between the King, the Queen and the Duke and Duchess. All their facial expressions were genuine," Stanton said, per the Mirror. "They were all looking very happy and relaxed with each other as they enjoyed speaking with members of the public. At some points of their appearance, Camilla was looking at Charles very adoringly."

He added, "She often gazed into his eyes and kept by his side a lot of the time. The fact she didn't hold back with her affection tells us she feels very in tune with Charles at the moment, and they are on the same page in terms of their connection. Their relationship is in a very strong state."

King Charles and Queen Camilla have been seen together in public more often in the last few weeks after the British monarch returned to his official public duties. Prince William, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, joined them on their trip to Scotland.

The King and Queen even posed for a new royal portrait with the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Edinburgh in their matching traditional garb -- green velvet robes featuring the order's insignia and white-plumed hats. Queen Camilla and Prince Edward were recently welcomed into the Order of the Thistle, the greatest order of chivalry in Scotland, People reported.

Queen Camilla is very protective of her husband. One insider claimed to New Idea that she didn't want King Charles to fly to the United States and visit Prince Harry for "health reasons." Although her stepson made several attacks against her in his previous interviews and book "Spare," she didn't make any public statement against Prince Harry.
