Meghan Markle Wants To 'Get Away' To Remote Island With Prince Harry, Kids: Report
Meghan Markle wants to have a summer break with her family, according to a source.
The Duchess of Sussex wants to go to a "remote island" with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children -- Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3 -- after Independence Day. The family will celebrate the Fourth of July together, but the former actress allegedly wants a more relaxing break, preferably away from home.
"As usual, she and Harry celebrated with the kids, but she wants to use the next couple of months relaxing and having fun after a stressful year so far," an insider told OK! magazine. "Meghan wants to get away with Harry and the kids to a remote island so they can just have fun as a family without any outside pressure and be in complete luxury."
The "Suits" alum was also reportedly considering taking them to Disneyland because she believes that Archie and Lilibet would enjoy the place at their age.
"Archie and Lilibet are at that age now where they can do more adventurous stuff and Meghan has even talked about a trip to Disneyland as she knows they will be well looked after there and how much the children would love it," the insider continued. "Lili is very into Disney princesses right now and would be in her element."
Markle is seemingly in vacation mode because she's also allegedly planning numerous trips with her girlfriends. She reportedly wants to reset after the busy and stressful months.
"As much as family time is the priority, Meghan also wants to spend more time with her friends and do some girly trips away and have a pampering weekend," the source continued. "She'd also like her and her friends to also go on a trip somewhere with the kids, maybe a bit of glamping in one of the National Parks."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were recently accused of trying to buy the public's respect amid Prince Harry's recent award. Many objected to ESPN's decision to hand him the Pat Tillman Award, including Tillman's mom, Mary.
"I honestly see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle accepting more trophies for awards that I don't understand what they're for than this life of service that they promised us," royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said on TalkTV.
"This is all a game for them. I guess they're trying to buy the public's respect, they're trying to buy a good PR through, you know, networking and creating these opportunities to collect trophies for their mantle. But I think the public sees through these individuals."
