Prince Louis Could Inherit Problematic Prince Andrew's Royal Title: Here's Why
Prince Louis could inherit disgraced Prince Andrew's royal title when he gets married or his father Prince William becomes king.
Prince Andrew, 64, currently holds the title Duke of York, which can only be passed on to a male heir, Express U.K. noted.
As the younger brother of King Charles III has two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and no male heirs, the title is expected to become vacant upon his death.
According to OK!, there are two scenarios in which the title could go to Prince William and Kate Middleton's youngest child following Prince Andrew's passing.
The Duke of York title is traditionally given to the monarch's second-eldest son.
It could be bestowed on Prince Louis, 6, once Prince William takes over the throne.
Prince Louis could also inherit the historic dukedom upon marriage.
His dad Prince William became the Duke of Cambridge when he married Princess Kate in 2011, and his uncle Prince Harry was named the Duke of Sussex after tying the knot with Meghan Markle in 2018.

Prince Andrew was also made Duke of York by Queen Elizabeth II on the day of his 1986 wedding to his now ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
Queen Elizabeth II's grandfather King George V and father King George VI previously held the title.
Before her father ascended the throne in 1936, the late queen was known as Princess Elizabeth of York.
Prince Andrew retained only his Duke of York title after his mother stripped him of his military titles, patronages, and right to use the style His Royal Highness back in 2022.
Queen Elizabeth made the decision as her second son was fighting a sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
Giuffre alleged that she was trafficked by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and forced to have sex with Prince Andrew at the age of 17.
Prince Andrew, who denied any wrongdoing, later settled the lawsuit by reaching an out-of-court settlement with his accuser.
He stepped back from public duties in 2019 due to his ties with Epstein.
Meanwhile, Prince Louis' older siblings Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, are also expected to get historic titles when their father becomes king.
As the eldest child and second in line to the British throne, Prince George will likely become the next Prince of Wales.
Princess Charlotte could be named Princess Royal after Princess Anne's passing.
The three siblings had already experienced a title change in 2022 when their great-grandmother passed away and their grandfather King Charles acceded the throne.
They were previously known as Prince George of Cambridge, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, and Prince Louis of Cambridge.
But after their parents assumed the titles Prince and Princess of Wales, the children became Prince George of Wales, Princess Charlotte of Wales, and Prince Louis of Wales.
