Erica Mena Blasts Safaree For Calling His Breakup With Nicki Minaj His 'Greatest Struggle:' I'm 'Forever Embarrassed'
Erica Mena wasn't too pleased with her ex-husband's comments on the 'We In Miami' podcast last week and now, she's speaking her mind.
During the segment, the podcast host inquired about Safaree's "greatest struggle or challenge" he had encountered in life.
"I was with Nicki [Minaj,] we broke up, so her fans and certain people, they just wanted it to be like, 'Oh okay, they're not together no more - f**k him. Let him be nothing, let him disintegrate, let him disappear...'" Safaree said." But nine - ten years later... I'm still here, and you know, some people don't like that."
Safaree, 43, further elaborated that after his split with Minaj, she started dating rapper Meek Mill, and they became the biggest couple in the world.
"You gotta think about it - I had two of the biggest people in the world like against me," Safaree claimed. "So that made everybody be against me. So nobody wanted to be next to me, nobody wanted to work with me..."
The rapper ultimately explained that that period was a "dark time" for him.
Mena, Safaree's ex-wife of four years, wrote in 'The Shade Room' comment section that she will be "FOREVER embarrassed" that she "gave sis these incredible beautiful babies. He don't even talk or care about his seeds this much online or [in] real life."
As of this wrirint, Safaree has not publicly reacted to his ex-wife's comments.
Mena and Safaree are parents to daughter Safire and son Legend.
