"The Shining" and "Nashville" actress Shelley Duvall has died. She was 75.

The Texas-born actress' partner Dan Gilroy said in a statement that Duvall passed away in her sleep at her Blanco, Texas, home on Thursday, the Associated Press reported.

Duvall died of complications from diabetes, according to her pal, publicist Gary Springer.

In his statement Friday, Gilroy said, "My dear, sweet, wonderful life, partner, and friend left us last night. Too much suffering lately, now she's free. Fly away beautiful Shelley."

Duvall was known for her role as Wendy Torrance in Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" as well as her multiple collaborations with director Robert Altman.

She made her acting debut at age 20 in Altman's 1970 film, "Brewster McCloud."

Duvall's role as Millie in "Three Women" earned her a Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress and a nomination for the British Academy Film Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

She shot to international fame when she played the wife of Jack Nicholson's character Jack in "The Shining."

According to her IMDb page, Duvall's last project was the 2023 horror movie "The Forest Hills," in which she starred alongside Edward Furlong and Dee Wallace.

Following the announcement of her death, fans and peers took to X, formerly Twitter, to mourn Duvall's passing.

"One of the greatest final girls of our time. Rest in Peace Shelley Duvall," the official page of Blumhouse posted.

"Farewell, to my sweet Shelley," a fan account for Duvall wrote alongside photos of the actress through the years. "This is a post I always feared making and I'm so unfathomably heartbroken, but please know Shelley was immensely loved and cared for. She made such a positive impact on my life as I did on hers."

"I'm heartbroken to hear about the passing of the beautiful bright Shelley Duvall. 'Faerie Tale Theatre' was a huge part of my childhood, it's what introduced me to the bright bubbly lovely Duvall. May she find peace, love, and light," another user wrote alongside an artwork of Duvall.

A third fan shared several photos of the actress and wrote: "Farewell, [S]helley [D]uvall."
