Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez Divorce Linked To Diddy After FBI Recovered 'S**t' Tapes Of JLo: Suge Knight
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are headed for divorce because of her alleged ties to her ex-boyfriend Sean "Diddy" Combs' case, Suge Knight has claimed.
TMZ and the Daily Mail recently reported that Affleck and Lopez no longer want to fight to save their marriage and plan to push ahead with a divorce just two years after tying the knot.
While neither star has publicly addressed the split rumors, the Oscar-winning filmmaker and the multihyphenate have been living apart for months now and have not been photographed together publicly since early June, fueling these speculations.
During a recent episode of his "Collect Call" podcast, Knight said he believes the divorce rumors are true but shared his own theory about the potential reason behind Affleck and Lopez's rumored split.
Knight claimed that during the raids on Diddy's homes in March, the FBI may have seized some illicit tapes of Lopez -- who dated the Bad Boy Records founder from 1999 to 2001 -- and showed them to Affleck.
"They go raid Puffy's house and they get all these videos of J.Lo doing this and J.Lo doing that," the Death Row Records co-founder said, recalling Combs and Lopez's involvement in a 1999 nightclub shooting that led to them being arrested.
"And they know the fact that J.Lo lied and said that the gun was Shyne's or whatever and sent that man to prison, destroyed his life, and she knew it was Puffy's," Knight alleged.
While the charges against Lopez were quickly dropped, the hip-hop mogul was acquitted after a trial, though a victim alleged that it was Combs who shot her.
Combs' protege Jamal "Shyne" Barrow was sentenced and served nearly nine years in prison after he was found guilty of multiple charges related to the shooting. Shyne has repeatedly claimed that he was Diddy's "fall guy."
Knight -- who is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter -- alleged that Affleck now has the alleged tapes of Lopez and Diddy and that their contents may have caused the couple's marital issues.
"I'm quite sure they [FBI] probably called," Knight alleged on his podcast. "And the FBI gave respect and a courtesy call to Ben Affleck. It's a white man who got respect in the white world. I'm quite sure they said, 'We want to show you some things about your wife.'"
"When he [saw] the s**t that her and Puffy was doing and who they [were] doing it with, I'm quite sure that they gave his a*s those tapes, and I'm quite sure he can never look at her the same," he continued.
Knight suggested that Affleck now "wants out" of the marriage after receiving the alleged footage.
"I'm quite sure they headed for divorce because that's a man who had a good life, great parents, [and] don't spend a lot of money. Ain't tripping off paparazzi, he's living his life. He got his own team. She done brought all the extra s**t out, and now that motherf**ka, he want out," he claimed.
Knight provided no evidence to back up his theory. Lopez, Affleck and Combs have not publicly responded to his claims.
Combs' Los Angeles and Miami homes were raided by federal agents in March as part of a sex trafficking investigation.
ABC News reported that authorities seized a number of electronic devices from his properties, but no information was disclosed about their possible contents.
The raids came as Combs faced multiple lawsuits accusing him of rape, sexual assault, physical violence, revenge porn and sex trafficking, among many others.
One lawsuit filed by producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones alleged that Diddy installed "hundreds" of secret cameras in his various properties and possessed tapes of his rich and famous guests engaging in trysts and potentially illegal activity.
Combs has denied all allegations.
In May, however, the rapper apologized after surveillance footage surfaced of him physically assaulting one of his accusers, ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, in a hotel in 2016.
