NCIS: Los Angeles fans can finally get a first look at Kensi's new assignment.

After taking a week off, the CBS drama will return on Dec. 10 with "Iron Curtain Rising" and the newly reassigned Kensi (Daniela Ruah) will find out more about her confidential mission.

Part of a seven-episode long storyline, Kensi's search for the enigmatic White Ghost will take her to around the world to Afghanistan, where she will team up with Assistant Director Granger (Miguel Ferrer). Now sporting a beard, Granger will inform the NCIS agent that her task will be complete when she kills her target (see video below).

However, Granger is not the most open and sharing guy around and Kensi will remain suspicious of his side of the story.

"Spoiler: Granger behaves suspiciously," tweeted executive producer John Peter Kousakis on Sunday. "It's need to know basis w/Kensi. She doubts his actions in upcoming Eps."

Kousakis promises that the series of upcoming episodes will showcase some of Ferrer's greatest work and the actor claims viewers will see his character in a whole new light.

"Get ready for Mr. Warmth as you've never seen him before," Ferrer tweeted on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles based team will be posing as pilots when the attempt to take down a former Romanian Communist leader that has been hiding out in California.
