NICS: Los Angeles' Deeks is missing his partner and Sam Hanna is missing picking on the LAPD detective.

A new clip (see video below) from the upcoming episode "Iron Curtain Rising" shows Sam (LL Cool J) and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) as they banter about whether or not to cut Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) some slack while he deals with the sudden reassignment of his partner and brand-new girlfriend, Kensi (Daniela Ruah).

Fans shouldn't worry too much about the normally high-spirited liaison officer, however. Although he is having a bit of a rough season, executive producer John Peter Kousakis assures viewers he will be okay.

"[Deeks is] strong as ever," Kousakis wrote shortly after Kensi departed in "Frozen Lake." "Concerned about Kensi. But he's a pro. He'll stay focused."

As Kensi attempts to track down the "White Ghost" in Afghanistan, those agents still based in Los Angeles will be looking for a war criminal and former Romanian Communist leader that has been hiding out in Southern California.

Joining the team for the hunt will be the man behind former Bones serial killer Christopher Pelant. Andrew Leeds' new character, a Tech Operator named Booker, will still have a flair for all things computer, although without the bloodthirsty psychopathic nature.
