'Supernatural' Season 9 News: Jared Padalecki Welcomes Baby Boy With Genevieve Cortese [PHOTO] [VIDEO]
Supernatural's Jared Padalecki in now the proud father of two young boys.
The 31-year-old actor announced on Monday that his wife, Supernatural alum Genevieve Cortese, gave birth to their second son on Sunday, Dec. 22.
"Ok. For real ;) My amazingly strong wife home-birthed a happy and healthy baby boy last night :). Please send love :))," Padalecki tweeted to his fans on Monday night.
The Padaleckis, who have a 1-year-old son named Thomas Colton (born March 2012), have not yet released any other information about the new born.
After meeting on the set of Supernatural while filming season 4 (during which Padalecki continued to portray Sam Winchester while Cortese took on the role of his on-screen love interest, Ruby), the couple married in 2010 and announced they were expecting a second child last July following the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con.
"Here is Thomas with his future sibling :) (toms the one in the superman shirt)," Padalecki tweeted alongside a photo of his elder son clutching a sonogram.
Padalecki is currently busy fighting angels and demons for a ninth season on the CW drama. He isn't the only series regular to be balancing salt rounds and diapers, however. Costar Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) welcomed his first baby girl, Justice Jay, last May while Misha Collins (Castiel) has two young children at home as well.
