'Man of Steel 2' News: Josh Holloway to Play Aquaman in 'Batman vs. Superman' or 'Justice League'? [VIDEO]
Josh Holloway is allegedly under consideration to play a role in the highly anticipated Man of Steel 2 movie.
Comic Book Movie is reporting that Holloway's name is being thrown around for a possible role in Man of Steel 2, a.k.a. Batman vs. Superman. Though the role has not yet been identified, the publication speculates that he could play Aquaman.
Holloway is most widely known for his role as the charming con man Sawyer in ABC's beloved island drama Lost. He is currently starring in the CBS drama Intelligence, which recently became the most viewed new show of the 2013-2014 TV season.
If Holloway joins the cast of Man of Steel 2 as Aquaman, that would make four members of the Justice League that would be present in the film. With Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) already set to appear in the film, the producers only need to fill a few more roles to get the entire Justice League together. Only the Flash, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter would remain.
Meanwhile, Latino-Review is reporting that the big Justice League movie might be filmed directly after Man of Steel 2. A source close to D.C. allegedly told the publication that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will begin working on the Justice League movie in 2014 right after production concludes on Man of Steel 2. As the publication notes, this would explain the rampant casting rumors about numerous D.C. characters being adapted for the movies.
Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on July 17, 2015.
