Marvel fans have been waiting with baited breath for a Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, and they might just get their wish during the Super Bowl.

Commercial airtime for the Super Bowl is some of the most expensive out there, and The Hollywood Reporter states that Disney is looking to snap up as many as three more spots. The company is already in possession of one spot, but buying airtime this close to the game could cost nearly $4.4 a slot.

While a commercial for Need For Speed seems to be a top priority due to its March 14 release date, Disney then has the choice of using one or both of two upcoming Marvel films in their other slots, according to Zap2It.

A recent tweet from a Marc Grasser of Daily Variety seems to refer to a Captain America: The Winter Solider commercial as a done deal, which only leaves Guardians of the Galaxy up in the air.

The least well known of the Marvel Phase Two films, Guardians could use the extra promotion boost that the Super Bowl would lend. While director James Gunn recently hinted that the full trailer is still several months out (presumably it will be released in conjunction with the debut of Captain America: The Winter Solider), that does not necessarily rule out the possibility of a quick 30-second ad.

Fans will have to tune in to the Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos faceoff on Feb. 2 to see if they can catch a glimpse of the Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and his superhero force. In the meantime, click the video below to see the Guardians mid-credit scene from Thor: The Dark World.

Guardians of the Galaxy will hit theaters Aug. 1.
