'Hannibal' Season 2 Trailer: Dr. Lecter Isn't a Suspect, He's The 'New Will Graham'; Profiler Vows To Uncover The Truth In His Mind [VIDEO]
Hannibal is returning to NBC this month, and the cannibalistic title character is far from the top of the FBI's suspect list.
After somehow successfully planting ear-vidence in Will Graham's (Hugh Dancy) stomach, Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) has managed to secure the profiler's detention in the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane.
"Will Graham, the FBI's top profiler, is now the FBI's top suspect," states season 2 trailer for Hannibal (see video below). "But they have the wrong man."
Graham is quite aware of his psychiatrist's guilt, but that does not mean he is entirely certain of his own innocence.
"I don't know which is worse: believing I did it, or believing that you did this to me," Will can be heard telling Hannibal in a previous trailer.
Stuck behind bars, Graham will be spending his hours desperately trying to uncover the truth in his own mind.
"What you did to me is in my head and I will find it," Will tells Hannibal in a new two-minute promo.
Meanwhile, the real Chesapeake Ripper will be balancing donning a metaphorical halo on his devil horns and be working side by side with Agent Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne).
"You're not a suspect, you're the new Will Graham," a woman in the trailer ominously informs Dr. Lecter.
Hannibal will return to NBC on Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. ET.
