Best Supporting Actor Oscar Winner 2014 Is Jared Leto For 'Dallas Buyers Club [VIDEO]
The winner for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role at the 2014 Academy Awards is Jared Leto for his role in Dallas Buyers Club.

Leto beat out Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips), Bradley Cooper (American Hustle), Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street) and Michael Fassbender (12 Years a Slave).
This is Leto's first Academy Award nomination and win. He also won a Golden Globe this year for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for Dallas Buyers Club.

Leto also won a Screen Actors Guild Award this year for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture and a Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Dallas Buyers Club was nominated for five other Academy Awards for Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role (Matthew McConaughey), Best Achievement in Film Editing, Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Writing- Original Screenplay.
Some of Leto's previous credits include Requiem for a Dream, Mr. Nobody and Lord of War. He is also the lead singer for the band 30 Seconds to Mars.
Leto is added to the list of winners for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards. Previous winners starting from last year include Christopher Waltz (Django Unchained), Christopher Plummer (Beginners), Christian Bale (The Fighter), Christopher Waltz (Inglorious Basterds), Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight), Javier Bardem (No Country For Old Men), Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine) and more.
