After working in the industry for decades, it appears that Steve Martin is ready to say goodbye to his acting career as he revealed in a recent interview.

According to Daily Mail UK, the 76-year-old actor is currently one of the cast members of the hit Hulu series "Only Murders in The Building."

He stars alongside Selena Gomez and Martin Short.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor noted that he's not going to look for other roles once his current show comes to an end.

"When this television show is done, I'm not going to seek others. I'm not going to seek other movies," he said. Martin also refused to do cameos in films.

Even though the actor is planning to retire soon, he still has a lot of upcoming projects like his 12th book "Number One Is Walking: My Life in the movies and Other Diversions" where he'll tackle his career, a documentary, and a tour with Martin Short.

The two stars have been good pals and co-actors for decades now and among their most notable performances was in the 1986 film "Three Amigos."

Speaking about their upcoming tour, the actor noted that they're happy to perform in front of a live audience.

He added that there may be a possible ending for their live shows, but he wouldn't do it without his partner.

Regarding what fans could expect on their shows, Martin said they tend to avoid political jokes, to which he explained, "Marty doesn't mind a 'boo,' but I do, so we intentionally minimize any political context. We want to lay down arms for a night."

'Only Murders in The Building' Season 2 Ending Soon

According to Men's Health, the Hulu series' second season will only have ten episodes, meaning it will end soon.

Their latest episode titled "Hello, Darkness" aired last August 9, and the next two episodes "Sparring Partners" and "I Know Who Did It" will be released on August 16 and 23.

Fans shouldn't be upset as the hit sitcom show will come back for a third season.

Variety reported that the series has been renewed for another season just a week after the second season aired.

As of this writing, details about the next season's story, plot, cast, and release date have not been released to the public yet.
