'The Walking Dead' Season 3 Episode 9 SPOILERS, Turmoil Amidst The Alliances?
After a very impressive first half of Season three, the AMC hit show "Walking Dead" will now be going on a two-month hiatus. With two distinct groups of people now set up amidst the zombie apocalypse and Andrea in the middle of it all, the end of Episode 8 was both bitter and sweet for its masses.
While survivors must continue to keep an eye out for the never-ending supply of lurking zombies, it's the war for territory amongst the living that has seemingly been the focal point of Season three. Hence, the end of the "Made To Suffer" episode left many fans wondering what's next in store for the show's return.
Fortunately for those who do want the inside scoop, showrunner Glen Mazzara did sit down with Entertainment Weekly and shared some information regarding the next episode, titled "The Suicide King", which is slated to hit the air in February of 2013.
"We're on the road to war. Now that everything is set up, now people have to make choices. Andrea becomes the focal point. She's the connective tissue. She has to make choices about how she's going to deal with this. She's a rock and a hard place and she has to make choices to pick one side or the other or bring the groups together," he said.
"We now have Merle, who obviously cannot live with Rick because Rick was the one who handcuffed him to the roof, and there's Daryl. So in both groups, everything starts splitting apart. Everybody forms different alliances," Mazzara added.
"I'm very proud of the second half of the season. It's just as intense as the first half. There's one episode in the middle of the run that feels like a finale and has just as much action as you've seen here in this. We are just charging straight ahead. It doesn't slow down. It doesn't get softer," he continued.
Episode 9 "The Suicide King" will air at 9 p.m. EST on Sunday, February 10, 2013 on AMC.
