New 'Big Brother 17' HOH Sets Her Sights On Vanessa As Backdoor Target

Steve won the Power of Veto on Saturday, allowing him to take himself off the block. This means that Becky can fulfill her plan to backdoor Vanessa, whose paranoia has been the source of many problems in the Big Brother house.

Sunday was a relatively quiet day in the house, though many houseguests confirmed their plan to not tell Vanessa before the Veto ceremony that she is being nominated. Considering how volatile Vanessa can become when she's not in control, this will surely provide some fireworks in the house.

Becky is still not telling Austin, Julia and Liz since she thinks they would go right to Vanessa with the information. Therefore, Becky is pretending she is putting up John with the intention of sending him home. Of course, this couldn't be further from the truth, as Becky and John have a special connection and an unofficial alliance.

Becky eventually concluded that she won't tell Austin of the plan until right before the Veto ceremony, so it won't be a total blindside.

Talk has also turned to the Double Eviction. While the houseguests don't know for sure that it's going to be a Double Eviction on Thursday, they are preparing for it just in case. Becky and Meg discussed having Shelli as the next target. Meanwhile, John said he wants to nominate Julia and Liz, then backdoor Austin.

Sunday was the quiet before what is sure to be the storm on Monday after the Veto ceremony. It has never been a better time to get the Big Brother 17 live feeds.

Big Brother 17 returns for a new episode Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
