'NCIS: LA' Season 7 Premiere Plot Revealed; Callen's Lone Wolf Mission Puts Sam On High Alert [VIDEO]
NCIS: Los Angeles will train the spotlight on Callen in the season 7 premiere.
G Callen (Chris O'Donnell) has always had a bit of a lone wolf streak running through his blood, and Los Angeles' lead agent will give his team the slip in "Active Measures." Without Sam (LL Cool J) to pull him back from the edge, Callen may find himself in too deep.
"The seventh season premieres with Callen embarking on a secret project, leaving Sam and the entire team in the dark," CBS teased. "After Hetty demands his operation be shut down, the team is tasked with locating Callen before he finds himself in over his head."

Whether or not it is addressed in the premiere, viewers should expect more answers regarding the series' overarching mystery as season 7 progresses.
"We ended [season 6] on Callen's father...or is it Callen's father?" Barrett Foa (Eric) teased at MCM London Comic Con, according to Red Carpet News TV. "There are some cool things I think are going to be revealed about our main guy who really has been searching for some answers to his family."
NCIS: LA will return to CBS on Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET.
