The Denver Broncos (9-3) will take on the Oakland Raiders (3-9) in an AFC West showdown on "Thursday Night Football." Although Peyton Manning and company have already clinched an NFL playoff berth, the team is hoping to maintain their positive momentum heading into the postseason.
"It's one step. It's not like we've done everything we want to do," cornerback Champ Bailey told ESPN.
On the other hand, the Raiders are looking to merely improve as they finish out their tenth consecutive season without being in contention.
The Broncos will be going for their eighth consecutive win, which is their longest streak in the last 14 years while the Raiders desperately try to avoid a sixth straight loss.
Denver has put up 30 points in six of its last seven games. To top it off, Manning has racked up 18 touchdowns and six interceptions while sporting a 107.5 rating during the respective streak.
At the present time, the Broncos will be focused on staying undefeated in their own division while also looking to earn a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The Broncos currently sit in a tie with the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens for the No. 2 seed in the AFC, but are currently fourth in terms of tiebreakers with those clubs.
"We always say people remember what you do in December. So that's what we have ahead of us. We've got a division game coming up. Hopefully, we get to 5-0 in the division. There's a lot to play for. We'll see where that leads us," coach John Fox said.
